  1. Add sugar and yeast to water and leave to sit for 10 minutes.
  2. Mix flour, salt, baking powder and baking soda.
  3. Add yoghurt or sour milk and milk to yeast mixture and mix in.
  4. Add yeast mixture to flour mixture and mix well.
  5. Add extra flour if necessary to make dough less sticky.
  6. Fold dough into a round ball and leave to rise for 2 hours - cover with a cloth or plate.
  7. Cut raised dough into 8 pieces
  8. Roll each piece into a round flat shape and place on frying pan on medium to high heat.
  9. Flip the Naan and Spread ghee or softened butter over the cooked side.
  10. Flip over and repeat.
  11. Serve with curry of your choice.
