- Take 750 ml Fresh milk cream
- Make ready 1-2 litres chilled water

- Put little cream in the jar less than half as it needs space to churn and you will have to add chilled water as n when required till you see the butter(fat) floating on top of the buttermilk, it takes few minutes, take out the butter and put it a kadai if you are making ghee or in a container if you want to have it as butter to store it for future use, then pour buttermilk in a separate container, which you can use to make various dishes…in this way churn the rest of the butter and collect. 1. To make ghee, heat the butter stirring it in between….it will be foamy so take a bigger kadai….cook till the milk solids starts turns brown….put off the flame because the heat will brown it more as you see in the video. It takes about 15 minutes to make the ghee from butter. Cool it a bit and then strain it through a seive while it's still liquid in a dry container. (You can have the browned milk solids too, if you like) 1.
