The ingredients needed to make Tofu or Soya Paneer:
- Take 2 cup dry soya beans
- Get 5 tsp vinegar
- Get as needed Water
Instructions to make Tofu or Soya Paneer:
- Wash and Soak soya beans for overnight.
- Blend beans in portions with enough water to make a fine paste. In a large pot transfer this paste along with 8 cup water. Cook it in low flame for 8-10 minutes, stir continuously to prevent burning. And remove the forth(foam) on the top surface.
- With a cotton or muslin cloth sieve them and separate soya milk from the solid part of the paste.
- Warm soya milk in a pot.Mix equal amount of water in vinegar. Add this mixture in soya milk little by little, stir milk slowly till curdling occurs. By using cotton or muslin cloth separate the liquid from the solid curdled part (like normal paneer making process).
- Tie all edges of cloth and press it with a heavy object to settle or solidify Tofu, for 1 hour. Remove it from cloth. Soya Tofu is ready. You can make various healthy dishes with Tofu. Enjoy.
