  1. Prepare 1 cup short-grained rice (Tuwo rice)

  6. Get Vegetable oil for frying
Steps to make Sinasir (Rice pancakes):
  1. Wash and soak Tuwo rice for 3-4hrs (I soaked mine overnight and it still turned out right)
  2. Rinse the soaked rice and blend till very smooth using a high speed blender
  3. Scoop out 1/4 cup of the blended rice and set apart Sinasir (Rice pancakes)1. Boil about 1/4 cup of water and pour it into the 1/4 cup of blended rice batter you scooped. - - Whisk consistently till it thickens
  4. Set aside the thick batter and allow it to cool completely
  5. Pour the cooled thickened batter into the other portion of blended rice and mix well till it is well combined
  6. Add the yeast and mix well till it is well combined. Cover and set aside for 1hr in a warm place - - PS: I kept mine overnight because it was already late at night, but it still turned out well
  7. After 1hr, mix in the sugar, salt and baking powder. - - Mix thoroughly till it is well combined
  8. Scoop up a desired portion and fry using a lightly greased non-stick pan on low heat - emphasis on low heat, please. - - Note: Sinasir is only fried on one side. However, when I was about taking it out of the pan, I turned it over for 3 seconds just to quickly dry up any uncooked batter on the top part
  9. Take out the fried sinasir and fry the remaining portions. The picture below shows what it looks like on the flip side
  10. Serve with stew or sauce of your choice.
