- Prepare Dessicated coconut to garnish
Instructions to make Semolina Veg Cake:
- Chop the vegetables and Keep ready.In a mixing bowl take semolina,add besan and curd.Mix well.Now add water little at a time and as needed to prepare a batter like that of cake batter consistency.cover and rest for 10 min.Now add salt,Black pepper powder and turmeric powder.If needed,add water.Mix well.
- Add chopped chilli,Coriander leaves,and other chopped vegetables.Mix everything well.Heat a steamer with 1 glass water in it Place a stand in the center.cover and preheat for 5 min.Now in the batter add Eno fruit salt and mix it.
- Pour this batter in a greased container.Tap it 2-3 times and place it on the stand in the steamed.cover with lid and let it cook for 20-25 min.Check with tooth pick.when cooked,off the flame.Take out the container.Prepare the tempering with oil,mustard seeds,Cumin seeds,sesame seeds,curry leaves and a pinch of asafoetida.pour it on the cake and spread evenly.garnish with Dessicated coconut.
